The minimum tech stack for a modern food truck
A lean, modern tech stack for running a food truck without app fatigue — one card reader, one management system, one accountant.
You don't need ten apps. You need three tools that talk to each other. Here's the minimum.
One card reader
Pick one merchant and stick with it. Multiple readers cause reconciliation pain.
One management system
Events, sales, stock, staff, profit — one place. Otherwise data is scattered and you make bad decisions.
One accountant tool
Xero or your equivalent. Connect it to your management system so you're not copying numbers.
One customer channel
One place customers reach you: SMS, or Instagram DMs, or email. Not all three.
One phone
Business phone. Not your personal one. This is the biggest boundary hack in mobile food.
